Meeting with the Mayor of Berat on the start of cooperation for the social monitoring project

In the framework of meetings with the Mayors for the implementation of the project “Social Monitoring through civic perspective” a group of experts who are implementing this project through the establishment of relationships and communication points with leaders and employees of the Municipality of Berat, achieving the opportunity in effective data time.

The ALTAX Center in the framework of the project “Public monitoring through civic interaction” supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands under the Dutch development / foreign policy, has started from December 2021 the analysis of the performance of municipalities, including in a draft report, which we will finalize and dialogue in open forums in 5 municipalities: Berat, Dibër, Elbasan, Gjirokastër and Vlora.

The experts engaged in drafting the Report have started analyzing the implemented processes based on the General Local Development Plan, Medium Term Budget Program 2019-2021, 2020-2022, 2021-2023, 2022-2024, as well as other national and local documents, which include sectoral strategies and policies and local program developments.

The meeting with the Mayor of Berat, Mr. Ervin Demo was a moment to express our initial thoughts and assessments on the work and management of the municipality in the very difficult circumstances of the pandemic period.
