How much has the organization of summits and international meetings influenced the financing of the Albanian economy?

On February 28, Mr. Gjokutaj presented on behalf of ALTAX the findings related to the argument whether the benefits from international meetings and foreign support have been more at the political or economic level. With the facts, which became part of the EKOPULS show on SCAN TV “February 28-29 Summits”, a presentation was made on some arguments based on the experiences of past meetings.

This political and economic analysis is introduced in the treatment of a special subject in the discussions of political economy related to the tangible effect that an active foreign policy should produce or not.

The experience we have experienced over three decades shows us that Albanian leaders, the same as the leaders of the Balkans, but also a good part of Eastern Europe, have influenced to adopt interventionist and protectionist economic policies, including the tolerance of economies with weak integrity and willing to serve their narrow interests.

In the ALTAX study analysis Economic or political profitability from foreign support and international meetings, statistical results related to the trend of foreign investments and financing as well as taking debt to fulfill political ego and use of any foreign support to monopolize power correspond to a part of the Albanian economic reality.

These findings we have presented show that the ways in which democracies engage with the global economy are less unique than many believe.

Read the data and clarifications to know more about the effect produced by all the international meetings and support.

Thank you!
