ALTAX publishes 2025 Annual Report and New Strategy 2026–2030

ALTAX Center for Fiscal and Economic Research has published today the Annual Report 2025, a comprehensive document that presents the organization’s main achievements during the past year and the strategic direction for the period 2026–2030.
The report comes at a time when ALTAX has consolidated itself as the most referential independent actor in the field of fiscal analysis, budget transparency and public policy monitoring in Albania.
Main achievements of 2025

• Publication of 128 full studies and 342 thematic analyses;
• Launch of the real-time budget monitoring platform;
• Updating the algorithm of the Feasibility Index of Electoral Promises;
• Important study on economic challenges and the path towards European integration (November 2025);
• Over 180 media appearances and the organization of 48 public forums and workshops;
• Expanding regional and international cooperation, especially within the framework of UNCAC.

The report also highlights a significant increase in public and institutional credibility of ALTAX, as well as a successful financing model with 85% internal resources, thus maintaining institutional independence.
New Strategy 2026–2030
In addition to the 2025 balance sheet, the report presents the vision and strategic objectives for the next five years. ALTAX aims to become the leading independent platform of fiscal and economic knowledge in the Western Balkans, focusing its work on:

Full budgetary transparency and accountability;
The fight against corruption and the digitalization of public processes;
Strengthening citizen participation in budgeting;
Supporting European integration through independent analysis.

The Executive Director of ALTAX stated:
“The year 2025 marked our transition from a phase of consolidation to one of systemic impact. Today ALTAX is not only a research center, but an indispensable bridge between citizens, institutions and international partners for a more transparent, efficient and accountable governance.”
