This report summarizes its work during the January\u2013December 2024 period, shedding light on its methodological approaches, analytical products, and the societal and institutional impact it has achieved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\ud83d\udd0d<\/strong><strong> What was the approach?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ALTAX followed a combined approach: analytical, evaluative, and interactive. At its core was the creation of concrete tools for monitoring public policies and assessing electoral promises. Notably, the development of the <strong>Feasibility Index<\/strong> stands out, offering for the first time a scoring system for political promises based on the country&#8217;s real financial and administrative resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\ud83d\udcac<\/strong><strong> What has ALTAX concretely achieved?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Conducted in-depth analysis of local budgets and tax burden across <strong>12 counties in Albania<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Developed <strong>comparative models for 6 Balkan countries<\/strong>, providing a clear picture for decision-makers and the public.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Produced <strong>101 research publications<\/strong> and <strong>271 thematic analyses<\/strong>, disseminated through media, social networks, and institutional platforms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organized <strong>35 public forums<\/strong> and participated in over <strong>140 media appearances<\/strong> to make fiscal and social issues more understandable to citizens.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\ud83d\udcc8<\/strong><strong> Has it had real impact?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes. ALTAX&#8217;s positions have been used as official references by municipalities and ministries, cited in parliamentary debates, and have influenced public discussions on inequality, decentralization, and budget transparency. Furthermore, in autumn 2024, ALTAX represented Albania at a <strong>UNCAC Coalition forum<\/strong> on anti-corruption in the region, significantly raising its international profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u2753<\/strong><strong>Why is this important for the reader?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This report demonstrates that an independent, non-governmental organization focused on analysis and public interest representation <strong>can meaningfully influence policymaking<\/strong>, without being affiliated with any political structure. ALTAX has built <strong>a reputation of trust and professional authority<\/strong>, contributing to a more honest and informed public debate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\ud83d\udd2e What\u2019s expected in 2025?<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ALTAX aims to deepen its analysis in <strong>education and healthcare<\/strong>, enhance collaboration with <strong>universities and research institutes<\/strong>, and strengthen <strong>regional exchanges<\/strong> for best practices in transparency and good governance.
