This survey aims to get as many responses as possible to your problems and aspirations to be used as an argument to convey the citizens’ opinion on the management of the municipality’s budget and as an organized citizen opponency.<\/p>\n

While in the past local government was run by officials who made decisions based mainly on individual knowledge and political interests, today we turn to you to jointly comment on the new governing requirements, influencing and forcing local and central governments to expand public consultations, implement participatory governance practices at the local level, encourage public participation and develop new partnerships with civil society organizations.<\/p>\n

By seeking responsiveness to social and economic needs, organized civic activity can have a real and tangible impact on local government performance and the quality and responsiveness of public services.<\/p>\n
